WELCOME TO THE WBCC
JUNIOR BULLDOGS
Junior cricket is an important part of West Bentleigh Cricket Club and central to our future.
Our junior program helps young players develop their batting, bowling and fielding skills while learning about teamwork, sportsmanship and respect for the game.
Most importantly, we want every Junior Bulldog to enjoy their cricket, make new friends and feel part of the West Bentleigh community.
No previous cricket experience is required. Our coaches will help every child participate at a level appropriate for their experience and development.
OUR JUNIOR PROGRAMS
West Bentleigh Cricket Club offers two junior programs for the 2026/27 season -
Blasters and Rookies
Both programs provide a fun, welcoming and supportive environment where children can learn cricket, develop their skills, make new friends and become part of the West Bentleigh community.
New players are always welcome, and no previous cricket experience is required.
BLASTERS PROGRAM
FRIDAY AFTERNOONS FROM 6 NOVEMBER 2026
Blasters is the perfect introduction to cricket for children beginning their cricket journey.
Our Friday afternoon sessions use fun, game-based activities to introduce the fundamentals of batting, bowling and fielding. Children can develop their coordination, confidence and teamwork while enjoying cricket with their friends.
The emphasis is on participation, encouragement and having fun. No previous cricket experience is required, and new players are welcome throughout the program.
With families around the pavilion and plenty happening on the ground, Friday afternoons create a fantastic community atmosphere at Victory Park.
UNDER 12 ROOKIES MIXED
SUNDAY MORNINGS FROM MID OCTOBER!
Rookies is a mixed junior cricket program for boys and girls who are ready to experience team cricket.
Played on Sunday mornings, Rookies uses a supportive and modified match format that encourages every player to participate in batting, bowling and fielding.
The program helps young cricketers improve their skills, develop their understanding of the game and build confidence playing as part of a team.
Our focus is on enjoyment, development, teamwork and sportsmanship. No previous match experience is required, and new players are always welcome.
